Vin#

I searched through the old forums and maybe this is a stupid question but I need to locate the VIN# on my 1980 CJ7 for the tag office. The VIN plate is missing where else is it located?

It should be on a sticker on the dash or maybe by the parking brake pedal on the body panel and depending on your luck - it might be inside the wiper motor cover.

Also, there is a partial VIN (really just the serial number part) stamped on the pass rear frame by the bump stop.

Usually there is a stamped metal tag riveted to the upper firewall on the drivers side under the fuseblock, under the hood.

found it under the fuse block like you said. Thanks for the info I was looking in all the wrong places!!
