I'm looking for pics/input from anybody running uncut waggys under your CJ5 's or CJ7 's. I'm trying to decide which direction to take so a pic of the overall stance of the jeep would be great.

Any info or specs you guys can provide would be great!

My plans are low (SUA) and wide; little to no stretch, and streetable. In other words I'd need to come up with something for flares to keep me "legal" up here in PA.

Thanks!

Ok Old Dog,

From what I gather out of all the great info in that thread is this, WT FSJ Dana 44 's make better candidates for staying CJ frame width because there's an extra 2" in turning radius potential.

My question, and I think I already know the answer, is wouldn't outboarding negate the decreased turning radius issue that comes from using the NT Waggy axle? In other words, using a NT Waggy axle and outboarding would be fine. No decrease in turning radius.

But, if I'm right, cutting down a WT axle will still result in better turning radius than outboarding a NT axle. This is because the WMS ---> perch distance is still 2" greater on the WT axle than on the NT axle, even after being cut.

Man that's a mouth full :D. Either way, great thread and thanks!

so the question is " which is of more value to me?? the stability or the turning radius ???.

Good point. Stability. Then again, I don't have the experience to say how much more stable 4" of spring width is on a stiff sprung-under CJ :D

The thing I don't like is the long side shaft must be cut and resplined to run the cut WT FSJ axle. If I'm doing that I might as well retube a HP44.

Outboarding the NT waggy looks good.

Either way, that thread is awesome.

Well I don't know anyone that has done either so I can't say for sure.
I do know there is a lot of people out there that has put NT waggies in there cjs. What I don't know is how it affected there steering.
I do have a WT chief axle sitting in my garage, but that project is waaay down the road.(unless I blow up my 30)
