If you couldn't tell from the thread title, I'm somewhat of a youngbuck and I'm not the most knowledgable on carbeurators (always worked on FI engines). Just recent realized I had a Weber 2-barrel on the AMC 258 i6 / 4.2l and it has been pretty much flawless up to this point. I suppose I could wait for my dad to get home from work to look at it but I figured I would pose the question to you all and see if I could learn a thing or two about this damn Weber. When I got the Jeep the plates were closed "to spec" and was fine. I drive it around the other day and no issues. Pulled it into the garage and no issues. Went to start it to pull it out of the garage today and she wouldn't start. I figured the carb ran dry and when I pulled the air filter off to self-prime it, I noticed the throttle (choke?) plates were stuck wide open. They still move smoothly but always revert to wide-open position. I checked the linkages and there's a spot that looks like a spring should attach but, without any reference or experience, I really don't know. Here are a couple pics I grabbed, maybe someone can make some sense of this for me? Thanks in advance!

Also, would anyone know how to identify which Weber I have? Yes, I know it needs to be cleaned. :/
