What are these lines coming up off my exhaust manifolds?

Yep. Mine came off before the first 5k miles. Buy some plugs to fill the holes. (unless you need this stuff for emissions inspection other than a visual one)
But I believe it pulled air from the exhaust, in order to recirculate it and burn off what it missed the first time thru.

Those tubes are to pump air into the exhaust to help lower the amount of emmisions coming out the tailpipe.

Wow. So these merely diluted the exhaust coming out of the tailpipe with air, before it went into the atmosphere???

So this is like pouring water into a Diet Coke, then dumping the Diet Coke into the lake and feeling like you've diluted the Diet Coke in the process???

So I can just remove the unit by removing (among other things) those two bolts on the manifold are replacing them with plugs?

Can I route the air from the pump (which must be what is under my PS pump) into my breather and call it a supercharger?:D

Then I stand corrected. Either way, it's emissions garb.

007 - Yes, remove the whole rail and plug them, then remove the assoc. plumbing, smog pump and anything in between. I mounted some of the parts back on a few years back. None are hooked up but it's only a visual inspection, no revenue making sniffer wand is used.

that's the epa's logic!
