Hi everyone,

I purchased a gal of Black primer but the company sent me gray nstead (off ebay). Go figure. The company also didn't include directions on the mixture ratio of primer and hardener..

Anyways, My CJ7 is down to bare metal (hence the epoxy primer) so, what should I do. I've waited for approximately 10 days for the company to send the black (what I ordered) primer. But feel I can't wait any longer. My jeep is starting to flash rust on me.

Here is my question:

What color under a Hot Pink Pearl would bring out the pink/pearl a black primer or gray? Should I just cancel it or accept the black primer when it gets here and then send back the gray primer?

Please help!
I will be laying the primer on this afternoon. (If I don't get the black by today, I will just use the gray.. Unless someone says NOT to use the gray)

:notworthy: (I can upload a pic of the primer can if you want me to.)

If you go with black you'll cover with pink better. Gray may have some high lights. After you paint it pint apply a cover coat of semi gloss black to seal the pink in.

 I finally painted the jeep,jeep... First used gray primer (company sent me the wrong color... Oh well.) Wanted to paint quickly because I sanded down to bare metal...

Anywho, I've uploaded a pic of the jeep.. (used as my profile pic). It looks purple and pink pearl in natural light.. --I can't stand the mary kay pink.. Had to go with a hot pink...

Thanks for the props! My daughter loves it! Its got a new set of LEDs on it now, running white on the bottom and blue on the sides. Works good when she is playing with it at night, or when we went trick-or-treating this year.

To the OP, sorry for the mini hijack! lol

cool wagon. I had a metalic blue one at that age.
Get your primer tinted or use a light primer, darker primer can make the paint darker.
