You should be arrested!

I almost feel bad about it, but he set the price. I just said yes and shoved the cash in his face before he changed his mind.
To be fair the steering box took a :dung: and leaked all over my driveway this weekend. I have a rebuilt one ordered at Napa that I'll install in the next few days or so.

So I got the new steering box in but I had to disconnect the front left shackle to get some room to put a bolt back in. Now I have a shackle that I can't get lined up to get the bolt back in. Any suggestions?

Maybe try to lift Lift/jack up the vehicle by the frame and by the axle/spring. Maybe this will take the tension off of the shackle allowing your to drive a smaller bolt through(1/4) to line it up until you can get the shackle bolt (I think 7/16ths through).

it may be time for new bushings.:D

That sounds perfect. Why didn't I think of that. :chug:
I have a whole new set of bushings on the way, but I am saving that chore for later this summer once I have it on the road for a while.

Okay so now I feel just a little dumb. I had to take the steering box down again to get the shackle lined back up. Got the shackle done and now I forgot how the brackets that hold the steering box on are supposed to be bolted up. Does anyone have a picture?
This is what I am working with,
