Engine What fluid goes into this?

Hello.
I had 2 questions, the first one was, what fluid goes into the container in the photo, and my 2nd question is, how do I change/check the Transmission fluid on a 76 Jeep with an AMC 360 in it?
It seems like it maybe be slightly more complicated than my 2007 yukon's transmission which checks the same as checking the oil. (lol)

That is your power steering resivoir. The Transmission question is a little more difficult. We don't know what transmission you have

If it's a manual Transmission there will be a plug on side of the trans. If it's an automatic there should be a dipstick tube on the right side near the firewall.
The 360 isn't a stock engine for the CJs so chances are the trans isn't either.
