Thanks cheepjeep, After finding out what it is I could do some research. I guess the 2 wires that are cut, where the sender screws into are for a low oil psi warning light?

What year is it? The later models I know for sure had two one for the gauge and one for the computer that controlled the carter bbd they where both run off of the same hole in the block.
I don't know of a warning light mine is an 85 and doesn't have one that I know of. Does you oil press gauge work?

Its an 86. And yes, all the computer stuff was pulled out.

Well you can get a schematic and try to figure out what was hacked up or get an after market electric or mechanical gauge.
