This explains why I have no brackets like this either! My cj had an auto, but the mounts are looong gone.

Wish there was some way to slide it into someone else’s spares box...... just to spread the fun. It never struck me till I started trying to figure out where it went. After a couple hours of head scratching I started typing. And just to add to the confusion, when I googled “steering column mount”, a couple pics of em showed up.....

Shum8, what did you do to cut the tunnel for the shifter?

A P.O. has already taken care of that. I’ll dig it up and post a photo. It’s a nice two piece job that looks to have been cut out with a hacksaw...... I’ll be replacing the cover.
