What is this?

This is some kind of plug mounted on top of the drivers side fender. Has a few wires running out of it going up to the firewall.

Bottom center of photo. Has the yellow thing attached to it. The yellow thing is actually a cap that goes over it for protection.

That is a plug for the dealer to plug into to find out whats going on in the system when there is a problem mines on the pass fenderwell. Your pic must be upside down.
