what kind of wheels are these?

If anyone help me identify these American Racing Wheels I would be most grateful. I thought they were called pythons but on second look maybe not.Jeep : CJ 2dr SUV in Jeep | eBay Motors

I do think they are close, but what I like about about those rims, if I were to describe them..... Six spokes that start from the center and deep inside the rim and taper to the out side of the rim with each spoke representing a triangle with the very tip of the triangle grabs onto the circumference of the rim. It almost looks like six sided star fish that's at the steering knuckle reaching to the outside of the rim.
If I can't id the exact model rims I might use the Atlas. Thx

I thought about it, but in the later pics it looks like the restoration was done in a private garage then being sold by someone else.
I just sent an email to American racing to see if they could help.

I'd start with going to http://www.summitracing.com and doing a search for American Racing, chrome. They look much brighter than Polished Aluminum.

.... since the center caps rust and are often replaced, maybe just the center caps are American Racing, not the wheels. Just a thought

The deep dish version probably looks more like your pic. What elwood posted has much less offset/ backspacing

I think you and Mr. Blues are correct. They are Atlas, however it appears that the Atlas line has been discontinued. How do you order the deep dish version of any rim? I know it's the offset, but is it he lower the number the "deeper the dish"?

Backspace is the distance from the brake side of the rim to the bolting surface (where it hits the drum/rotor) - Offset is the distance that the bolting surface (where it hits the drum/rotor) varies from rim center.
So, a zero or negative offset will give you a deeper reverse on the rim - a lower backspace number will give you a deeper reverse. Just to make it harder to compare rims, width plays a big part. A 4" backspace on an 7" rim width would be a shallow reverse, but a 4" backspace on a 12" rim width would be a fairly deep reverse look.

About halfway through the attached is info on "Offset" that should make it clear. Backspace and Offset are basically two different ways of measuring the same thing just to keep us all confused....
