I had the same problem last night. Thats a good looking dash plate. I appreciate the dimensions for the shackles too.
We changed servers last night so we had some downtime.

Sry pics didn't load, and been having trouble getting on site here.

I really really like that idea of a plate cover for the electronics. Any thoughts of making another one? And taking a donation to show the appreciation of hard work that went in to it?:D:D:D:D

...here are some good prints I found from another site for shackles...
Ok, I'll bite. What's the story on the dogleg shackles?

I've made front and rear bumpers with a swinging tire carrier. I made half a frame as well. Right now I am building these brackets for a disk brake conversion.

hey Kane what calipers are you using?

They are for a 1987 Nissan 300zx. 22mm. This is for a Dana 44 but the same concept should work for the model 20. The 98 Suzuki sidekick 2 door rotors are a direct fit with no machining work needed. I may sell the brackets after I work out the details and I can fit a set for the model 20 as well since just the axle tube diameter and mount holes will shrink a bit.

Yeah, I'm curious here too. I plan on doing a disc brake swap on my 12 bolt sometime in the next decade.

For mine, I made my front suspension:

I made new rocker panels since my originals were rusted out and hack-fabbed by the PO...

I made a gonzo-style hood scoop (was actually for a much longer hood -- I had to section 12" out of the middle and put it back together) and sprayed the fancy new paint job that's now faded from being in the sun for 7 years.

Built my own custom headers

The list goes on...and keeps growing every day when I crank up my brain. I'll stop hijacking now, though. :chug:

They were designed for a jy, straight ones would hit the cross member in full stuff, so someone came up with these to stop it from hitting. They do nothing for a cj as we don't have that problem. Some cj people just think they look cool so they use them.

First person to actually give a good explanation of them lol

Lol, I would not mind trying headers what did you need for that job? Maybe a pipe bender welding equipment.....who am i kidding I wouldnt know where to start lol :chug:

Would not mind doing a swap as well, but just don't think I have the money for that lol Looks like fun though.

Headers arent nearly as hard as they sound, but it does take some patience. I took an existing set of circle track headers and cut them apart for the flanges and first approximately 18" of tube and collectors, then got a box of 1.75" tubing (what I sized to be tuned to my engine) that had 180 degree U-bends, some 90 degree bends, and 45 degree bends, and started tacking them together. I had to cut the header flanges apart to fully weld the tubes, then used an old cylinder head as a jig to put the flanges back together. I'll give you the link to my build thread if you're curious. it's a fun job, though! :chug:

Lol, seems like that may take ALOT of time that I could only wish I had and will eventually work towards getting I'll add you to the friends deal and when I get that time I will hit you up cause i'd love to confuse my friends with all that lol. :D

Kane, you gotta mail me that pattern.

Well. I have alot of time invested in the design and drawings. I was planning to make a batch and sell them on E-bay for the Scout guys. I would have no problem selling a few on here for a very low price if you want a set. I am getting my first two back on Friday and then I will fit them this weekend and make any needed changes to the CAD drawings for the 2nd batch.

No problem, any time.

What Cad/Cam software are you using? and let me know when your done with them and what kind of price your looking at getting I'll probably be interested I have Dana 44 on rear and 30?? on the front.

I use Autocad 2011. Once I get the price from the metal guy I can price it out to everyone here. I will basically cover costs with a buck or two for myself. I planned on eBaying them. I don't know how many Dana 44 's this will fit. I am not sure if all the different years had the same tube size and flange on the end. This would have to be measured by you to verify the fit.

great program btw. plan on using it for the roll cage and more

Cool!!! I would like to try autocad out, i'm o.k. with Solid works but I use mastercam to program and draw too.
