Looking at the T-Town and Birmingham area craiglist, the prices for CJ's are across the board. Here in Alabama, I personally think that most Jeeps are overpriced. If the people are getting what they are asking for them, I would think that you could get at least 8k for it.

that's a damb nice Jeep man... :D

Good Luck with the sale... :chug:

Nice jeep, sounds like you have a lot of bucks in it. Trouble is you never get your money back.
Around here it would bring 6 or at the most 7 grand.

soft top

yeah thats what i was thinking, but i started thinking i see alot of jeeps in that 4-5 range where they always have that....well ill need to fix this or do that. So i wasnt sure.

i was figuring 6 to 7 if i took the winch and lights off.
fiberglass is a little faded, i never painted it because i kinda liked the vintage color look but maybe thats just in my head.

that looks like a clean jeep

selling honestly depends on how long your willing to wait. remember its worth what someone is willing to pay for it. if you have time i would start with a high price and after weeks i would lower it until its sold.

arround my neck of the woods i would ask 7500 OBO and i would take an offer as low as 6000.

but thats for around here (savannah Ga) also considering i cant actually see the jeep.

if it had clean paint i could see it selling easy for 7500 and maby even close to 8.

the fiberglass and help/hurt you too. i personally wouldnt step foot near fiberglass because i have had bad experiences. but there are people out there that will jump on this buy just because of the fiberglass. i had a jeep that sold in a day or two just because one of the first guys that looked at it was from up north where everything was rusty because of the salt roads and when he found out i had a fiberglass tub he handed over stacks of 100 bills without even thinking about it.

i wish the best of luck to you.

Jeeps aren't worth anything these days, like $500 PM me your phone number.

No really 3-5 grand sight unseen.

But the right buyer ??????

Good luck

Yeah man, just post it for the top end of what you feel it is worth for the area. If you dont need the $$ right away the right buyer will come to you.

Thats the thing with jeeps. Every buyer is looking for something different in them and those features make it worth more/less.

Yeah that's what I'm gonna do, I've got 5200 plus coutless hours in on it . Not bad considering the front end bumper winch and lights retail over 2500.

I've just been toying with the idea of selling but on the other hand I'd love to throw a new coat of paint on it

Yeah in comparison they aren't worth that much...... But neither is a Polaris ranger for 12 grand

selling two or three weeks before hunting season can get you a better price.

I know this thread is years old, but any chance you still have the jeep and are looking to sell it? Thanks!

The OP, hasn't been 'on' in almost 7 yrs. ;)

It’s all about condition. Here in AZ most are 100% rust free so that isn’t even considered. Prices are all over the board... from $1,500 to well over $20,000. Super clean, unmolested original brings more than highly modified... even if the mods were expensive improvements. Like most I’d rather build / customize my own. Of course if they have been beat / abused, the price drops drastically.
Yours looks nice so a guess without seeing it in person is about mid range.
