'77 cj 5, original straight 6, dana 4 speed
I know this question is difficult to answer without seeing, hearing, and driving....but i'm just looking for a ballpark figure.

1977 CJ5 in black...straight six with 75,000 original miles. dana 4 speed Transmission , two soft tops (one full coverage), about 7 small rust spots scattered over the vehicle, biggest one on tailgate, most about the size of a half-dollar or smaller. engine does not burn oil.
31" tires with tons of tread. she cranks like a champ, has a custom steel 3'x4'x5"high box hiding underneath backseat....nice aftermarket front and rear bumpers, with 2 spotlights mounted on front. radiator fan has been put on a thermostat, with a control switch (auto, on or off) Brake fluid can be locked in line to function as a parking brake (think dragster doing a burnout) backup light and interior light installed. everything pretty much works.

vehicle looks really good overall. no dents, dings or other imperfections minus rust. apologize for the lack of picture, impossible as of now. i'm considering a trade and need a ballpark figure for negotiations. wasn't sure if the recession had brought down the price on this jewel.

on an aside, the only complaint i have about this vehicle is when the full top is on, even buttoned all the way up (or not), exhaust fumes get sucked into the cab, mainly in the backseat. anybody had this problem? i'm pretty sure it's not coming through the floor. i think its backdrafting through the back somehow. i'm pretty sure i don't have an exhaust leak, but not absolutely certain.

thanks for thoughts....

This usually from a tail pipe going straight out the back instead of to the side.

As for price it's really hard to say as I'm in Ohio and markets vary a lot.
But around here i'd say 3-5 grand if the frame and interior is in good shape.

the exhaust issue can be solved by running it past the body, and putting a turn down tip on it, even if it runs straight out of the back. that is, if you don't have an exhaust leak. i would put this in the range of 2500-4 grand

sounds like 3 to 5 range

Maybe $5-6 thousand down here in Florida.
