He hasnt been on since a little after noon. Where could he be? I wonder if he's taken delivery of a Jeep of some sort? Inquiring minds would like to know. :D

:grinjeep: like a scrambler maybe.

I refused delivery... Didn't live up to my expectations! :biggun:

Darn battery is dead though! Had to push it down the drive. :(

I think you will find that most of the problems you have with a CJ are electrical.:laugh::laugh::laugh:

Key was on and pos. terminal was lose, just finished letting it run for about ten minutes (does the gas gauge work? Because it is flat out on empty) to charge the battery while it is on the booster...

Sounds pretty good! Idles pretty well...

more than likely he siphoned it out before he loaded it.

There is no drain on the battery. Trust me. Ive had it sit for months and still fire. :o

Sorry about that my friend. My fault. The gas gauge is typical Cj. Doesnt work. I have only kept a gallon or two in it since it wasnt moving too much. The little bit thats in it is fresh. Its not much.

My tongue still tastes funny. :p Cj must be running it around a bit. Either that or he went for gas.

Went for a quick drive to gas station. Put a few bucks in it just in case. Didn't want to go far without a tag - and since there are no shoulder belts that would easily peak the curiosity of the local popo... ;)

Did get a question while sitting at the pump if the CJ was for sale!

Well ( #1 ) you made it back. (#2) You did so without selling it , so I'll count that as a win. Once you get the carb straight Im sure you'll be very happy. Scramblers didnt have shoulder belts until '83. I liked the '82 cause you got the wide trac axles and didnt have the computer contolled stepper bbd carb.

I know about the shoulder belts, it's the dern popos that are a pain. They pull you over now for not wearing them, even if the vehicle didn't come with them (they don't know any better) - just a pain in the butt... :)

Ok. The key for the lock lugs is in the glove box. I cant wait to see it with the old school aluminum slots.

CJ, welcome to the 8 club! :chug: Glad to see it stay in the family! What are your plans for her?

Drive, a little repair, drive more, a little repair, drive even more, a little repair...

Mostly grind off all the paint bubbles ( the body rocks ) - paint with black primer and... did I mention drive! :)

Met someone tonight driving a 64 vette... Made a little small talk and found out she really loves her 82 Scrambler! Also learned she is related to the Buyer / Manager at my work and family with the tattoo shop who cleaned up and did my last tat! What a small world!

Ok lets see the INK.

The few I have are mostly mundane... They all have very personal meanings....

But - I think in the next week or so - an early Jeep scrip tat will be added to my collection!
