Which brand of lift kit

Which brand of lift kit
I found only one tie rod end bad. The one that connects to the pitman arm. I will double check the rest.

Another good option is rocky road outfitters bolt on spring over kit for $634.00 shocks included along with a new set of stock springs fron general spring. I use two 5 leaf 785 lb springs in the rear ($99.00 each)and two 5 leaf 840 springs in the front ($139.00 each)plenty of flex (look at rocky roads site) and a nice ride from the lighter springs. You can also get springs from them for a good price. I run Rancho rs5000x (55012) shocks with 15” of travel. I don’t run the spring over kit but we have installed one on a friends rig and have had zero issues.

If you're present set up is 'squirrely', you may have a caster problem. Assuming all the front end junk is okay. Have you taken the CJ to an alignment shop and had it checked? Adding a lift kit will effect the caster numbers. I had to put 6* shims in the front (I'm running a 2.5" BDS lift and a 3/8' shackle lift) to get back to the 'sweet spot' for caster. Before for the shims, the CJ would just dart from one side of the lane to the other. White knuckle time in my CJ5 .

Thanks again everyone, hey hack, I do have 6 degree shims installed. After the shims, and replacing all the worn bushings, I have a much better experience driving. There is not much drift to speak of on 4 lane roads but highly travelled roads that have groves worn down seem to pull the cj because of its narrow track. I think. By my shade tree calculations I am at 3 degrees + angle which is what the owners manual says it should be. Few more things left to try. There may be a little slack in the gearbox, but I've already adjusted it as far as I can without binding. $$$$ Thanks again guys!
