That's why I was looking into Shell Valley. I forget who makes the 4WD tubs, I think the company starts with a "K".

From what I understand, the new tubs are not as high of quality as the old ones.

The old one isn't great either. I have an intermediate 72-75 CJ and this tub doesn't even have a provision for mounting up the front mounts. The front of the tub stops at the drivers floor where it angles. The whole thing moves when you press the clutch pedal down so you are forced to fab your own mounts. Without em there's just too much flex from the force.

The new intermediate CJ tubs have apparently fixed this, and I thought I read they were reinforced w/ carbon fiber too but I might be wrong on that.

4wd lists them separately. They sell their tubs for about $1000 less than the kentrol tubs.

They also say that their tubs are steel reinforced.

I'd say most of the reviews I've seen on the 4 wd tubs has been positive.

I am also considering Shell Valley a close second. You can also order SV prepainted.
