Windshield frame

hey new here and got a few questions

just bought a 73 CJ5
need to buy a windshield frame
my windshield frame now is inside wiper motor similar to a 76-85 but every thing i have seen so far has had a bead rolled into it at the wiper pivots mine does not
does anyone know what year or model level it might be of off ( base, scrambler ect.) any info would be greatly appreciated

75-72 windshields had the the motor outside drivers side. The hinge mounts are way different. They go up inside the sides of the sheet metal frame.

Plus the glass and angle is different

OK you do have. 76+ frame and motor assy. The hinges are different but will fit. Hinges are expensive new. $50+. The frame will also affect your top.

The dash is a 72-75. They have relocated the windshield hold up tab. The two sets of slots are for the original frame.

Some guys used to "upgrade" to the newer style. Looks like that's what you have.

Is the glass in a rubber gasket?

Than it's not a 87-95 the Wrangler w/s didn't use a gasket it was glued in.
So it has to be a late model CJ frame.
