Windshield Hinges for a 72?

I've been on a scavenger hunt for new pieces for my 72. One thing that has eluded me is a new set of windshield hinges. I would prefer stainless but I'll take anything...

Anyone have a link for a new set?

I'm assuming a set for a '76-later won't work? I really have no idea.

That's them! The old military type! I really appreciate it as I had a very hard time finding those things...

Now, how about stainless... LOL

Couldn't find stainless, but what about powder coating to match everything else you are coating? Did you decide on a color. <---

LOL - Haven't decided on a color yet, but powder coating stainless is the best as even if it gets scratched it won't rust...

I'm still deciding on what I want to coat and what I don't.

Little off topic, but I had an apprentice at work who painted his 87 f250. He was pretty good at painting and body work, just not at mixing colors. He had a few quarts of red and white rustoleum paint, but not enough of either to paint the whole truck. He thinned and mixed the 2 together and thought it would dry light red! He painted the whole truck with this mix. He drove that truck for about 2 years with a pretty color pink before he sold it.

Hay CJ why not take them to a shop that does Chrome? I think you asked about Chrome.

Nope... No chrome for me. I'm going to powder coat all I can and anything that can be changed to SS is on order (and will most likely be powder coated too). I even ordered SS head light bezels...

I agree with the powder coat, our jeep is all trimmed in black & Sahara green.

When you find those hinges in stainless order two sets........one for you and one for me!!!! I have been looking and no one makes em. The next best option is to swap to a 76+ windshield frame to get stainless! I am like you......EVERYTHING I put back on my CJ5 will be stainless if possible.

Hello 67msarge and welcome to the site! I have never found them for a pre 76 so I'm just powder coating my old ones. I was going to coat the SS ones even if I found the, less things to rust!
