Did you read my review? I have a set sitting in my shop.

I do not like them and as such I recommend the original military clamps.

Ok, Yea I read it and saw the 8 out of 10 thinking that those ones were the military set blahhhh....Do you know where I can get some of the military ones at? Only place that I even come close to finding them is ebay

Forgot to add that the reason your windshield bounces around and does not clamp tight is most likely that your cowl seal is wor, brittle or missing. Check that seal for wear! :) :)

Willys Overland has them but read my last post - the clamps don't really wear or break, the problem is usually the seal.

The 8 out of 10 was for construction, not practicality (I should and will edit my review.)

The Cleats them selves are pretty worn the ones that go on the dash not the hooks, Where are the cowl seals located......are they where the hinges are?

I'll take some pics in a bit of mine

I am absolutely clueless when it comes to anything on the jeep I'm trying my best to learn everything but this is my first project/toy/get away from wife time lol

BTW - got any pics of that 75? Put them in your gallery, would like to look at another intermediate CJ. :chug:

The cowl seal is under the windshield, as it drys out and wears it allows the windshield to lay back making the clamping looser.

I have a lot of pictures lol, I will get some posted hopefully hopefully I can have my cj driving today and I can get more pictures of it I will work on getting them posted as well lol

Thank you CJ

No problem, I'm really betting you need a new seal, btw - the dash hooks can be loosened and moved down to make the clamping tighter... ;)

It doesn't look like review was edited yet. I have the clamps but since my grab bar was welded to my rollcage I can't use the passenger side clamp & am wondering if those from AA would work. Other option is to use the style form 76 & newer but not sure bolt holes etc will line up.

I previously had diamond plate on my dash, I removed that :dung: and the other day when I re installed the cleats that go on the dash the clamp down really really well to a very big surprise cause before they were pretty flippin loose.

CJ said that the AA clamps def. do not work as well as the military ones that they always end up getting lose there sitting in his garage lol.
So idk I only have experience with one of these. sry

I have the AA's installed and they have worked well for me. Admittedly I also have the full top on that holds things together and have not done much off road but they hold firm for me.
