Im tired of scouring all the parts stores for stock replacements for the Cj. Anyone go with bigger ones? What size?

You really can't go bigger as they will hit the frame and or windshield gasket.

and a quote off another forum..

I replaced my 94 YJ wipers with the wiperboy from riptech engineering, and now the arc of the sweep is longer, so I get better visibility (plus the wipers out of the way when they are off). Blades are actually a bit smaller, I think, though...

I just mail order mine from 4Wheel parts. The last time I bought six pair. I think they were $8.95.

I'll order out a couple for now. Thanx

Pia wipers @4wheelparts are now $10.99. It's been awhile.

Wiper blades are one of the few parts that the NAPA carries up here for the CJ. Get them for about 5 bucks.

That sounds great! Do you have a part number handy.

4Wheel parts was for a pair. So it's about the same.

i just checked out those fancy chrome wipers, very pricey.up to 174.95 per set,for that much you can go buy a whole case of refil blades at napa or walmart.too shiney for my jeep anyway.thanks for posting those anyway, they look real good on that jeep.

The wiper arm upgrades look really sexy for sure but, as you say , maybe not be cost effective. Having the extra reach would be a very cool thing. My greatest objection to the 11 inch wipers is the truly sorry job they do of removing water from the glass. I don’t know if it is harder to wipe flat glass than curved or if it is the lack of tension from the arm itself but they just don’t work for squat!! I found some 11 inch “tri foil” blades a long time ago and they did a decent job but I have not found any of these three bladed wipers, triangular pattern, that will fit the jeep wiper arm.
I have been toying with the Idea of cutting the ends off the wiper arms and welding a more common hook on the end and now that I see the extended motor arm Idea that seems like an excellent idea as well. Does any one know how much longer the motor arm is than the original?? I guess the easy thing to do would be to buy the upgrade and change the hook on those arms. The ones on the wipeboy link would be OK it would take me 70 bucks to fab the arm easy.

If any one has a line on the three cornered blades for a 77 CJ let me know, please.

There is one more thing on the list.

ya i work at advance auto and we stopped carrying them :(. i use rain x all the time on it.
