Could somebody please show me where the normal 'off' position of the wipers should be? And then explain the motion of a normal wiper arc for a CJ??

I went to put my wiper arms on today, and the only position that they would stay in full contact with the window while wiping is if I attached them in, or around the 1-2 o'clock position on the window (looking through the glass from the seat, driver's wiper). And when I turn them on, it does a short down wipe, and then of course wipes normally, and stops back in the first position I described.

I've seen other's pics, and their wipers look to be all the way down when resting, or off (at least the driver's)... is there something wrong with mine??

knob should be turned counter clockwise untill it stops, put blades on at 2:30 o'clock looking out of window. I think thats how mine was, don't rain much here in havasu, az.
