wire identification

need help identifying some wires

The first one is this red one coming from under the carb/intake manifold area

the second one is this yellow one coming of the main harness that travels along the driver side front fender

How about filling out a profile so we know what year and motor we are looking at.

It would help to know what year CJ you have, some of the wire colors changed over the years, plus emissions equipment additions and changes also, not to mention changes that the p.o. made. If that first red wire goes into the bottom of the intake manifold, that would be for the manifold heater which works quite well when hooked up. It hooks into a matching plug of the same color to the manifold heater relay, located against the firewall. The yellow wire should go into the windshield washer pump and should be getting power from the windshield wiper switch on the dash. There are wiring diagrams around, reading them is not always easy to do.

I think I can identify this one:

Right there in the middle of this picture, that's a wire. That red thing. Yep, I'm pretty sure that's a wire.
If you can be a little more specific I might be able to also.

I have an 82 Jeep CJ7 that I am putting back together right now. This yellow one looks exactly like the one I had labeled for the wiper washer motor. My old wiper washer motor was no good and at this point I do not plan to put a wiper fluid res. or wiper washer motor, so I just left the wire hanging, but with the identification still attached to narrow down the other wires I can't figure out. My Jeep still had the stock wiring. I hope this helps. Let me know if I am the winner.

If you have the crappy computer system in your jeep the red on is for the intake heater element.. not really neded. the yellow I would venture is for the washer pump.
