wiring harness

hey i am looking for a wiring harness for a 73 CJ5 , for a AMC 304 v8, anyone know the best place to find a used one that is inexpensive trying to get my cj up and running

Do you need the exact harness? When I redid my CJ I used the electrical diagram in the manual and just rewired the complete thing. Does any of it still function or are you looking for specifics?

I have an original 72 manual with a complete electrical diagram. I can scan the correct pages if you need them.

What about a Painless kit?

I went ahead and scanned the electrical and wiring section on my manual. This is from a factory shop manual not a junky Chiltons so the diagram should be correct (72 and 73 should be the same)...

I attached it to this post and placed it in the Document section of the site.

Thanks for posting that CJ. I'll definitely save it in case I ever have a similar problem. Nothing beats getting the information direct from the source like that.

If you really want some good wiring i'd look at the painless wiring kit. that is what i used and it took no time at all... be sure to get the one with connectors already attached or you'll have A LOT of connections to do,
