Everyone says rewiring a CJ is easy. I don't know where to start. I figure mounting the fuse block is the first step. I am posting a pic of my blank canvas. I am using Painless wiring kit.Where do I mount the fuse block? I don't want it to interfere with the pedal assembly and the emergency brake.
looks like your doing the same as what i started, the dash design was the hardest part. the the location of the new fuse blocks that are not under the dash.
I used marine grade wire
rocker switches and the fund the plugs for them
bulk heads for wires to run threw fire wall
solder and shrink every wire and terminals
then label wire set
buy fuse blocks that have ground buses on them
waterproof relays and fuse boxes that houses relays waterproof
Top one is a headlight switch and bottom looks like a heater 3-position block to me. I can get you the part number for the headlight switch when I get to my computer. When I rewired my Jeep last spring I just rewired my heater fan to be on or off.
