Hey guys, I've a 80 CJ5 with a chevy 350 in it. While wiring in a new fuel pump I found that the wiring harness has about a half dozen or more Wires just clipped off and left just shoved back into the harness. They're left over from the amc harness and are not needed on the chevy. Would you remove them or just cap them off and leave them in the harness like they were? I figure I can always get a new wiring harness if i ever want to go back to an AMC engine. i unfortunately don't have a voltmeter to see if they're hot or not. but with all the other clipped wires that i've found around the jeep that still had power applied and no caps it wouldn't surprise me to find out they all had power. What are your thoughts?

I left about 4-5 wires in my harness. Cut them and sealed the ends about 4" from the bulkhead. My thought was this would provide me with pass through for other items if needed.

Just my opinion,

Cruise by Wally world and pick up a cheap circuit tester and some heat shrink. Find the hot ones and seal them up with the heat shrink. I just got a circuit tester at the local WW last night. It was 3.99.

Yep, seal the ends and stuff 'em outta sight.
