Wrangler half doors on a 78 CJ7

My brother has a set of half doors off of, I think, a 92 Wrangler with sliding glass uppers that he will sell me really cheap. I wanted to know if they will fit my 78 CJ7 . It seems they are pretty thick, and I may have to remove the door panel, but I didn't know if anyone had experience with this before and can tell me what I might do, or if they will work at all. I can't try to modify them until I bought them, and once I do they're mine, so I would kind of like to know first hand. Thanks in advance for any help.

Quick answer, yes they'll fit. You'll need to add some different door strikers though. Read my door write-up, it'll help.
