I could use some help. I bought a 1961 all original CJ6 the engine is stuck and it has no mods. I mainly bought it for the PTO front winch and factory rear seat to install on my 1960 CJ5 . My question is I have a guy that is interested in buying this CJ from me but I am not really sure what the CJ6 's are selling for so any help would be great. It needs floor work and hat channels replaced or repaired.

If I were you I would take what you got it for and try and sell it to him for what you paid for it. At least it would be a good starting point.

Thank you that's a good idea. I only paid $500 for it with a one owner title.

I know that's the main reason I picked up this Jeep, and the factory rear seat for my 60 CJ.

Id keep it for when your done with the CJ5 and find yourself bored. :D

I have had that thought as well, it would be nice to have a 1960 and a 1961.

and a 62 and a 63 ans a 64 and a.......

the hardest thing to do is to stay focused on one Jeep, one upgrade.

It's been almost four weeks since I found my new 61 CJ6 and this weekend the weather is going to allow us to go and pick it up. 16 hour round trip should be a blast!!! I will post a bunch of pictures after I get it home.:popcorn:

Just let me know when I can move this thread to the build forum. :D

I will let you know. At this point not sure if it is going to stay parked next to the 60 or if the winch and rear seat will be removed and installed in the 1960 and sell the 1961. Not sure just yet????

It was a great 16 hour round trip with my daughter. We now have a 1961 CJ6 parked in the garage, not really sure what I am going to do with it yet. The winch is definitely coming off and will be installed on the 1960 CJ5 . I will take and post a few pictures later on.
