Engine 1975 304 v8 distributor questions

it has the OEM dist now, module has been replaced.

I hear these are less than reliable.
don't wanna be disabled outback ...

I see replacement modules are available, I could get a spare and keep it with me.
most likely an older points type distributor can be found (new/rebuilt), and with a Pertronix that should be low maintenance and reliable.
HEI/MSD?

Just the Facts Mame....

Points and Condenser systems are Not BAD!
Just Carry Spares, a Feeler Gauge, and you will be Trouble Free ....just in case a Push Button War Starts......Old School Stuff will not be Effected. And Go North by Northwest.....
Old school pocket compass will still work too ....
