1976 cj7 interchangeable parts between diff years

New here am looking at a 1976 CJ7 . For 500. I'm going to look at it today to just check for frame rust. And was wondering if there are certain parts between cj7s
that are able to be used on a 1976. Thanks in advance

Everything between 76 and 79 is interchangeable between Cj-7s. The 80 and up had different t-cases. 82 and up had wide trac axles that are a bit wider. The majority of 76 to 86 parts can be swapped in and out with little to no fabrication as long as you grab everything you need.
