So first off you have a highly modified Jeep. Why is that important? If you don't know Jeeps inside and out, without documentation of what was done, a service manual may not be of any help with problems that arise.

The rear fender area. Do we know how much rust is under the metal wrap around corner. This is an area prone to rust. This may be why all the fender areas have been changed. This includes the front. Why is this important, look for other areas of rust. The frame is a suspect here.

In the engine compartment a cut off switch was installed. What else was done to the original wiring harness. The big red wire loom is a dead give away.

The dash is not original. Again this involves wiring. What was changed behind the dash? Is the heater and defrost system intact - gauges are really high for all of that to work as it should.

At $3000 this is a project Jeep. I doubt that it is a reliable daily driver. Looks more like the start to a trail rig. Is that what you want? It is definitely not a Laredo anymore.

These are all just observations based only on some small pictures. A close-up look may revel more. If you are willing to put some money into it over and above the $3000, it could be a good deal. Not many Jeeps go for $3000. Most will need work.......Check the frame, and keep an open mind on what you want the Jeep to be, and what are you going to use it for.

I base my OPINION on the pictures and what Jeeps go for in my area. A $3000 Jeep usually needs work. A $6000 Jeep is much better off around here. IMHO

Thank you for the help. You definitely pointed out a few things I didn't even realize or take into consideration when first looking at the jeep.

After looking at the one I posted above I decided it was going to be a little more work then what I'm wanting. I'm headed to look at a '76 CJ7 tomorrow I can post photos if y'all would like.
