As I recall, they are a 7/16"x14 thread and a 1" length should be fine. Generally, a stainless bolt is around a grade 2 which is a bit on the soft side unless you can get one in a marine grade bolt through a boat shop or on line. I use bolts that are grade 5 or 8 from a local hardware outfit that comes with a cad plate.
1979 Jeep CJ7 TH400 Automatic 258 I6 Quadratrac Amc 20 rear & Dana 30 front, 32 x 11.5 x 15 tires. Currently a Complete Custom Rebuild in progress.
Also I own a 2001 Jeep Cherokee, White, all stock with 4.0L. automatic, and police package. Best part of that is it came with leather seats! This package also has the NP242 Transfer Case, 8.25 rear end, and trailer towing package.
7/16 grade 8 can be hard to find. 7/16 grade 5 are easier. Find a good hardware store, not HD or Lowes. I get all of mine from Tractor Supply, doubt you have that up there. Ace Hardware maybe? Stay away from Stainless steel for this stuff like Torx said. Be sure to use some Locktite Blue or Red. I would use Red as I doubt that you'll be removing them again.
Fastenal, Bolt Depot or McMaster Carr if you don't have a local source. I've gotten a lot of fasteners from all three places. Get together a list of everything you need, because shipping can get expensive for a couple of bolts/washers/nuts.
