Interior 1985 CJ7 Seats & Center Console

This is my 85 CJ7 .

Both these seats are on slides and a flip-forward hinge.

Am I correct that means these are from an early model YJ?



How about this center console?

Is this an OEM for CJ or YJ?

Who knows but they look like out of a Cherokee. My wife had a 96. But the back I don’t know or think they are.

Those are Yj seats. They came in quite a few different colors with that Jeep script on them. The risers are Cj. You could get forward fold front seats on both sides you just don't see it much.

Nope, CJs never had a center console. A very nice addition. I would be proud to have your seating.

Say what ? My buddies came with a center console, saddle bags, Larado stickers and many other items back in 84. Of course it was 50% more costly than my base model.

That was added by the dealer.

So every dealer that installed the same center console, which from what I have seen in over 40 years, they are all the same. So where did they order them from ? Jeep ? Saddle bags also. Even my soft top came in a box from the factory in the box. In my Jeep, on the truck. Dealer installed.

We worked with each other. I worked at a dealership and as the parts manager I made calls to the factory and other dealers all day. We traded.
