Unfortunately, I need to get the right tools first before I can do either a compression or vacuum test...

I did discover that it's got some sort of replacement Holley 2 barrel carb, rather than the original...

Neither tool is expensive, but remember to get the largest diameter vacuum gage you can find as it makes it easier to read.

I have a vacuum gauge on the dash but I like the hand vacuum pump with a gauge on it, kind of a duel purpose tool for chasing vacuum leaks, testing diaphragms and checking valves and lifters.
