Why not go with a mechanical gauge instead?

I already tried a mechanical gauge Lumpy. Look and the photo I attached earlier and the post that Torxhead responded with. The sender wasn't in the head far enough and that is the only sender location on the engine.

Does coolant flow thru your intake manifold?
You can 'T' a fitting in. What I did to mine.

Looking online at what appears to be that intake manifold, I see no locations to accept any coolant lines or sensors. That would make for a hot air/fuel mixture! Make a call to the VDO tech line, they should have one, to tell them of your issue and they could help you out. They should have different sending units to make for a better temp readout.

There is no coolant flowing thru this particular intake manifold
