I have a 66 CJ5. It has a 4-134 f head, t90c 3 speed transmission, Spicer 18 transfer case, Dana 27 front axle, and Dana 44 rear axle.
I have a 66 CJ5 with a 4-134 f head. It runs ok. When it gets to about 45 mph, it starts to miss and won't go any faster. If I could get a decent hiway speed, I would keep it all original. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!!

That engine only puts out 76+-hp when everything is right so 50-55 mph is at the top of it's capability. Great little engine for off the highway use but never gona be a freeway rig, as for the miss start with the obvious tune up stuff-plugs-wires-points-etc.
I had mine completely rebuilt and because of bore condition went to .050 over and it runs great, only a few miles put on it yet and no speed runs (lol) but 55 mph is possible.
