Im new here and new to jeeps although i am not new to working on cars and trucks. Looking at a 84 CJ7 for $600 which has hard top and hard doors. Has rust in the floor pans and other usual rust. Although it runs and drives fine. Just wondering if this would be worth the money.

Sounds pretty promising so far... by "the other usual rust" I hope you don't mean that the frame's badly rotted (especially at the rear), the body mounts are rusted off, the differential covers are rusted through? $600 is a little steep if all you get out of the deal is a running drivetrain - engine, Transmission , Transfer Case , and axles - but if it's actually workable & the rust isn't too bad, that's not bad money.

pictures would help

Just one place in the frame is rusted at the frame but dont think if would be a problem to fix,,,,,it has all new front end components such as tie rod ends and linkage. Ill try and gets some pics up.

Sounds good by the description. Hard to tell without pics though. A running and driving Cj for $600 is pretty good though. If your willing to put in the work no problem.

A $600 Cj sounds quite familiar as well. Mine was a 85 though.

It would cost you more than $600 for a decent tub, but if you can get a running, driving CJ and not afraid of a little work, sounds like a deal.
