Hello Guest, we are proud to now have our Wiki online that is completely compiled and written by our members. Feel free to browse our Jeep-CJ Wiki or click on any orange keyword when looking at posts in the forum.
If you have stock equipment from both it should fit. But stock was a long time ago and you don't have much info about your CJ or the 3B.
My 67 CJ5 w/ the V6 came with a plow and we looked at installing it on my 54 CJ3b and based on the measurements from both service manuals it would have fit. Too bad the 3B was just too rusty to use yet....
But - depending on the type of plow that is installed in this 3B, some had a hydraulic pump that runs off the engine pully (called a high-low pump) and depending on the engine you have in your 66, it may or may not easily fit. If you have the stock fhead 134 then no worries, but something larger might require some creative adapting to install the pump. The plow that came on my 67 is electric over hydraulic as far as raise/lower, and it has to be turned (as in get out of the jeep...) manually from side to side. So MY PLOW would be a pain to use if you were plowing as a business. A hydrau-turn (I think that's what it's called) is what you would want - it's what I what to convert mine into.
I don't know if this info helps any....I have some pics of my '67 and the plow in my gallery here if you wish to look.
And welcome to the forum - I just noticed you were our newest member..
