6x9 speakers in front of shifters under dash?

The long title explains it all. Thinking about putting 6x9 speakers under the dash in the center and angled back toward driver,rider to hear. Anyone else think to try this? If not, I might give it a try and take lots of photos

But then you couldn't hear the jeep, music is distracting when listening to the beautiful sound of a well tuned CJ. Oh I bet you want to hear your CB for trail information. I get it.

Need to put mine up on the roll bar.

They would get wet if I put them down by the shifters.

Tuffy also makes a speaker enclosure. Looks a little bit more secure. I have no experience with either, and I'm looking for some real world opinions. This one doesn't come with speakers though:
