So I have inherited a started frame up custom cj build. Has gm14 bolt rear and 10 bolt front axles, FI 350-5.7(has a Transmission and Transfer Case ) and and a frame from I don’t know what. Pan, axles, frame and eng/Transmission all that’s there, so a full frame up build.

Just like the username states, I am a FNG looking for knowledge and to learn as much as I can. On that note, how can I identify the frame that was used to start this build? Have heard it’s more than likely Blazer frame, but I can not find and numbers stamped. Did some looking and multiple sites side driver side under cab area, others side passenger side under cab.... no dice.

Can y’all point me in the right direction on identifying the frame? At a loss here as I am not a total gear head, but I do know basic mechanics. Be happy to take some pics.

Sorry for that short reply, I was eating - pizza in one hand and keyboard in the other.

Does the frame look like it's been cleaned / refinished / powder coated ... etc? Something like that would explain why there is no registration tag on it. Do you have the axles with it?

Pictures are always helpful - the back of the frame would be an easy tell for a Jeep for sure.
