Members CJs 78/79 CJ5 New Member from Oregon

Officially my 3rd jeep, originally had a 67 CJ5 , then a 1990 YJ, and now inherited this 78 or 79 CJ5 from my brother (he couldn't remember and just moved and needs to unpack to find the title). I know I could do a VIN search, but just haven't gotten around to it. This is going to be very fun finishing a couple of other owners' projects. What I've been told is that it has a YJ front leaf spring over conversion done which shifted the front axle 1" forward. The drag link is at a precarious angle and actually rubs the passenger leaf spring when turned to the right, so it is going to sit until that is fixed. According to what I've read, it should have an AMC20 rear diff, but it's definitely not that. So, I'm looking forward to asking many questions and learning about this beast and making it fit for safe and reliable daily use.
