78 CJ5 loose steering on deceleration
yea, I think that is there under the front bumper but when you stand in front of the vehicle and have some turn the steering wheel the vehicle shifts quite noticeably. But yea I believe that is there. I know there is something right at the front end of the frame but it doesn't seem like enough. I will double check when I get home tomorrow.

IMHO I still think the first thing you should do is get the front end aligned.
Make sure the caster and camber are right.;)
If you think one frame rail is moving more than the other when you turn the wheels, make sure the welds on the crossmember are not broken.

Need to hook up your sway bar will help with body roll and to keep it straight on decelaration.

Ok, I got the jeep back today with some improvement. I would say 50% max. The local offroad center installed the sway bar and an additional bar from the top of the Transfer Case to the driver side frame. They changed out the ball joints which they said were pretty bad. All total $1150.00 They suggested power steering and a bigger steering wheel. I have a 13 inch on there now. They also suggested up to date ladder bars for the rear axle ($550). I will have to wait on those. I am taking it to Silver Lake Sand Dunes this weekend so I will see how it handles.

I am planning on a new steering wheel and would like power steering but this new upgrade looks like around $1000 (Ladder bars, power steering and a new steering wheel. Any other suggestions? Does this seem logical?

Thanks
