81 CJ7 neutral safety wire

Hello all, I'm fairly new here - not many posts, but I'm finally getting around to fixing up/restoring my CJ7 . I'm a Camaro guy - restored several of these cars from the frame up, so I'm pretty mechanical (I think).

My C77 is an 81 model with the AMC 258 i6 / 4.2l and manual tranny. Most everything on it is stock - no real upgrades to anything that I can see.

Anyway, I'm doing some wiring on it, and there's a connetor that goes to a neutral safety switch somewhere. My tranny is a manual, so did the CJ7 's with a manual tranny even have a neutral safety switch? My guess is that all of the wiring harnesses came with it from the factory and was there for automatics only.

The nss is for auto trannys only and would connect to the starter relay. If you fill out your profile and include your Jeep specs it would help us see what you have.
