Does anyone have any pictures of how they attached their door strikers on a fiberglass tub? I have paddle doors and replaced my original tub with a fiberglass one.

I would like to be able to put my doors back on, but the new tub is way different than the original. I am not sure how to attach the striker brackets to the tub. Wondering if I should cut the tub up or if I can cut the striker brackets a certain way to make it work...or if both are necessary.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am not going to start on it tomorrow, but would like to accomplish this while MI winter has the Jeep in the garage.

I attached a picture of the style bracket I have.

Thanks in advance!

Make a mating bracket for the striker bracket and fiberglass it in. Then bolt the striker bracket to it.

Here is what I have in my set up. PO did it so I can't give details. But it works.

Thank you both (gr8dain & GargoyleJeeper)!

It looks like the suggestion from GargoyleJeeper in the first post is exactly what the PO did for your Jeep gr8dain.

I really wish I would have thought of this before I had the body herculined and painted, but I think if I take my time I can still make it look nice.

I just hope when it is all said and done it lines up well!

Thanks again and especially for the pictures!

Or you could fab a channel, because finding one is like finding a good untouched CJ.
P.S. Do not slam doors!

I slam my doors all of the time. The YJ half doors don't fit as well as I would like. Especially with the uppers and the hard top on. I have adjusted the pins as much as I can. No big deal.

sorry, but I don't know what you mean by "fab a channel" and finding "one"

do you mean adding something on the door, like a sliding bar that will keep it from coming open after you pull it tight to the body? like this door pin that we use on house doors...?

also, I am wondering if I fiberglass the bracket in and adjust the pin properly, then the door seal around the bottom of the door will hit the "door jam" of the tub before the pin clicks and maybe pin won't take much impact, even if they were to get slammed. ?

No, I am talking like the 1981 up stock channel from the bottom of tub to the top, but I do not know how well that would go on a fiberglass tub.
There is also a small bracket from Collins Brothers that bolts to the door edge.
