Finally took delivery of the Scrambler this weekend. Here's a teaser pic for now. Plenty more to follow.

As my baby daughter used to say ..... "Mooooorree"

Good job Pete, congrats :chug: Dont forget to update your profile :poke: :D

Excellent catch, and I'll be able to pick up more great tips from you too.

:lpopcorn:

Better grab the popcorn and beer for this one... I'm in! Jealous too, I might add:chug:

Thanks everyone. I'm in the midst of getting a new computer and trying to post pics from my phone is a real PITA! I've been looking over the Scrambler a bit more and have a pretty good idea of the good and bad so far. Here's a pic of the underside of the dash. The previous owner assured me he was a certified electrician.

OOOO...the requesite twist caps used in home electricity...thats quality. :notworthy:

I really like the hang'n connectors-:D
Looks like enough wire to redo a house.
Keep us post'd-That way we know you didn't electrocute yourownself.:poke:
LG

I never saw a wiring harness quite like this. I wonder if it has anything to do with one of the Jeeps issues I was told about, low spark?

And here's the last of it. I never re wired a Jeep before. Guess this one is going to help me cross that off my list.

Another thing I'm not very fond of. The exhaust was routed between the frame and rear tires. Why they didn't go inside the frame rail is beyond me.

Get TapaTalk for your phone - it makes posting pics on here EASIER on your phone than on your PC...

A little more wiring mess.

Nice carburetor! :D My CJ didn't look far from that when I got it...So I got a new harness to put in it. So I got (I think, anyway...I have to check) a basic 8-circuit harness from EZ-Wire. Came with very easy to follow instructions and the needed pigtails for the headlights, etc. Now -- don't look at my CJ currently...lol because I had removed the full harness and only put in "what was needed" when I got that wild hair to change my CJ into an all out racer...(still kicking myself over that one) But soon (soon IS a relative term, right?) I'll be back to something a little more normal.

Sorry for the tangent, but just wanted to say don't be afraid of rewiring the whole shebang... Ain't no thang but a chicken wing! :D

I'm such a creature of habit though. :D I'll give it a try

I have some parts laying around I believe I can sell for enough to get it up and running. Look what was under the Bestop seat covers:

I was just joshing with ya. :chug: I'll be watching this one, though. I've always loved the Scramblers. And those seats are nice! Why would someone cover them? ...I suppose to keep them nice lol. Good find!

Not bad lookin' seats. I'm looking at what's on the floor ..... carpet = floor pan death .... How is the floor.

Why so many wires? What did he add? Computers? Fuel injection? Team Rush MSD ignition? That is a lot of wiring to deal with. I bet the original harness is still there under all the added on wiring.
