Will parts for an 85 Cj7 interchange with the 84 Cj7?
Are there any major differences in the two?

Depending on what parts exactly. Generally '76 to '86 swap parts rather easily. A little more detail and I can let you know more.

Doors, fenders, Hood, Hard Tops,

I would possibly like to change out the steering column to a Tilt steering column.

'84 and '85 are all the same parts

Any of the parts you mentioned will swap. The only real differences are from 4 cyl to 6 cyl and automatic or manual 4sp or 5 spd. There were a few different trim options like the Laredo package wich was a little more luxury and all that swaps as well..
