Aftermarket shackles, replacing bushings?

Aftermarket shackles, replacing bushings?
I would also be looking at the spring perch and axle relationship, are the springs were they belong on the axle? If the center bolts have been tweeked or head sheared off they may not be at the right spread and this will show up at the shackle end of the spring, they should be the same width apart on the axle as at the frame ends of the spring asumming the frame is straight.

Well I got the front spring bushings all replaced. The main eye bushings where a pain in the :censored:. Actually first side was bad 2 nd went pretty good, knowing is half the battle! I used a 1/4" drill bit to drill a bunch of the rubber bushing out then pushed the center sleeve and rubber out with a ball joint press tool. ( big hd c clamp with a bunch of attachments) getting the bolts out where also rough but they came with the right set up on the tool and a lot of pounding with the impact. After I got the center sleeve out and rubber bushing I used a saws all to cut the outer sleeve in a couple spots then it peeled right out with a screw driver. Here's a pic of the new main eye bushings with grease able bolt.

I have not set it back down with tires on yet, but the front shackles look straight up and down now. The reason I have not set it down was because when I had the front wheel off I noticed the bolts on the lock out hubs where a little loose. After all the reading I have done on here I remembered someone saying that these are a problem coming loose soo I went the parts store and bought some studs and lock nuts to replace the bolts. Problem was they only had 8 so I have to finish tomorrow night when the other 2 come in.

Also does anyone know for sure what the main eye spring bolts are supposed to be torqued at? I couldn't find it anywhere.

Here is a shot of the new studs and lock nuts on the hubs... This should work shouldn't it? Should I put lock tite on the studs going into the rotor and a on the nuts?

I have found it's best to just snug them down it's real easy to over tourque them. And when I had this problem I used Lock-Tite and it worked great.

I'm not sure by the pics but your studs should go at least 2-3 threads outside of the locknut or you may have issues later
