Alternator, Battery, or wiring issue?

Alternator, Battery, or wiring issue?
Diodes in the mail. With the cluster fuse out, battery dead this morning. Charged battery. Pulled all of the accessory wires from the fuse box. Reworded a few cesspit connections to simplify things. Check for amp drain. No amp drain present. Good grief. Maybe my ignition switch causing an intermittent drain? Anyway, I wired to 12v outlet as the only item on u switched bat hot lead from fuse box so I can run my trickle charger through it at night until I get this resolved.

A dirty ign switch can do just that.
Blow the heck out of the switch with compressed air while working the switch back and forth.
Good luck!!

So after all this including a new ignition switch - still draining. Took it out, full overnight charge, tested at advance - 68 CCA - back to Sears - tested bad, replaced battery. Good grief.

So after all this t-shooting, it ended up being a broken battery, or did the persistent parasitic drain kill it?

The good of all this is that you have cleaned up some potential problems and did some maintenance on others. That in itself should be comforting in some way.

Seems to be doing fine so I'm pretty convinced it was the bat all along. Odd since the first time I took it to Sears they tested it as okay. Working well now. Battery is a Diehard Gold AGM.
