First off, let me start out by saying it's been a while since I've been around here. Life has not been too good to our family. But I'm trying to get back into the normal pleasures of life and the jeep isn't running good.
I currently have the POS knock off Weber 32-36 carb on my AMC 150 4 cylinder. Yes I have not swapped out the motor yet (remember I said life hasn't been good to me). That will need to be put back yet again. However, the tags ran out on the Cj and I want to get it back on the road again.
I have always had issues with this carb. It would stall whenever on a slight incline wheeling and the choke was a joke.
I looked @ Varajet carbs but they don't make any for the AMC 150 that I'm told. I was looking into the Motorcarft carb but folks on the other forms were telling me that they are too big for the 4 banger. So what do I do? There has to be another decent carb out there for the AMC 4 banger and I'll need a plate for it as the one I have fits the Weber. Not sure if they are universal or not.
Can anyone help me or point me in the right direction? I can't seem to find much info on the net either...
