Hi. I'm trying to put an electric fan in my 84 CJ7 I6. The Taurus fan did not fit (water pump). So I ordered a Contour fan from Napa, and I'm paranoid!! Just want to make sure I got the one one. Here's the link: Store Locator | NAPA Online

Thanks, Bryce H

that's the right one. my impression is it's supposed to fit just fine.

i've got a contour shroud, but i need a new grille and radiator before it'll fit.

ohh I see. All right thanks. I post some pics once I get it in to help anyone in the future.

i wouldn't. having the fan turn on at 135 won't do you any good because coolant isn't even circulating through the radiator until 180 or so.

mine's currently set up with an adjustable probe sensor that installs in the radiator fins. it's got a built-in relay and two fan power leads. i currently have it set to turn on at 204, so the fan only turns on if passive airflow through the radiator isn't getting the job done.

I found a 180 deg switch that threads into the block/manifold , wherever you can find a threaded hole , on E bay pretty easy. Be sure to use the switch to control a 40 amp relay that supplies power directly from the battery to the fan and use at least 12 ga. wire.
